What makes your company different?

After nearly 20 years in the decoration business the question still gets asked.

I was at a trade show this week and a distributor asks, what makes your company different. Well, I go into our pricing, our great service, blah, blah blah.

On the drive home I was thinking about that question and realized I had never really understood what he or she was really asking. Granted, a nickel will sometimes make the difference of getting the job. And most decorators are doing a rather good job on quality.

So, what they are really wanting to know is “how can you help me with my situation”?  We have all had that moment when the impossible has been asked of us. Our manager tasks us with something way outside of our wheelhouse.  The time when a project five times larger than any we have ever had presents itself. Or the decoration technique we are unfamiliar with is requested. And we start squirming in our seat because we do not have the confidence that we can pull it off. And the problem with that is it shows in our presentation.

What we are exceptionally good at is giving our customers the confidence to say yes. We remove the anxiety associated with the unknown. We provide the ability to meet hard deadlines, and solutions to difficult decoration techniques. And we are also incredibly good at the blah, blah, blah.

So next time you get asked, “what makes your company different”?  Think about that question for a moment.  The questions is really “How can your company help us where others come up short”?

Tired of squirming?  Feeling nauseous?  We welcome the opportunity to help you with all of your decoration needs so you can perform your job with confidence.

Shirt Lizard is your confidence partner.
